The Brazilian keeper suffered the injury during last night’s 3-2 defeat to Panathinaikos in the Europa League.
A statement released on Roma’s website read: “The results have shown a strain to the adductor muscle in his right thigh.
“His condition will be re-evaluated over the coming days, and he will begin a rehabilitative programme today.”
