The Frenchman said: “I am confident I am going to sign in the next week or so for another year.
“We have three weeks left, but it really would not matter if I sign or not before the end of it because we have agreed a new contract.
“I have agreed to sign another year, so now if it does not happen, it would be a big shame.
“Perhaps because the fans did not expect very much from me, I have had nothing to lose.
“I have wanted to show them they were wrong and that I have the quality to play for this club. I still feel I’ve a future here.
“I think I have had a good season – and it is not finished yet.”
