Silvestre told L’Equipe: “I have two years remaining on my contract. The coach (Sir Alex Ferguson) did everything to keep me last summer.
“He even recently told me he trusted me. So I can confirm that I will be with Manchester United next season.
“I will be back training in two weeks.”
