Villa suffered a hamstring injury in the win over Racing Santander in the Primera Division on Sunday.
The injury was expected to rule Villa out for three weeks, but the striker is now hoping to get back faster.
“It is a long time. I hope I’m there against Barcelona. I have to work every day to make it but I expect to recover,” Villa said to Sport.
