West Brom ace confident ahead of Man Utd clash

West Brom were the only team to avoid defeat at Old Trafford last season.

Olsson told the club’s official website: “We’ve been looking forward to this game all pre-season.

“It’s not hard to motivate yourself on the training pitch or in the gym when you have in the back of your mind our opening two fixtures against United and Chelsea.

“I’m looking forward to it.

“We’ve had a great pre-season, made good signings and been playing tough teams in friendly games, so we are as prepared as we could be.

“We’ve also got the games against United last season at the back of our minds.

“We did very well at Old Trafford and even though we ended up losing the game at The Hawthorns, it was one of our best matches of the season too.

“We did well against a lot of the big teams last season and that gives us belief that, on a good day, we can get something out of the United game.

“Of course, we are also very humble about the task ahead of us.”

He added: “What makes them good is they have winners in their side.

“They also have a manager who knows what it’s all about. We deserved to get a point at The Hawthorns but they ended up winning the game.

“That’s what makes a champion, picking up points when you’re not at your best.

“However, the beauty of football is that although individually we are not as good as they are, as a team we can beat them.”
