West Brom boss pleased with draw

James Morrison scored the equaliser for West Brom and Di Matteo was delighted with his side’s display.

“I think the second-half made up for the first-half. It was a very entertaining game in the second-half and ultimately I think it’s a fair result. They could have won the game, we could have won it, both teams had chances and I think we’ll take the point,” he told Sky Sports.

“It is a great result for us, Bolton are a very good side, a very good team, difficult to beat.

“They got the draw against Manchester United last week and they’re very good, so it was difficult for us today.”

“We want to be competitive and I think we had a decent start into the Barclays Premier League,” he added.

“We’re just going to keep going and trying our best to get results for the club.”
