Zigic insists he is not surprised that he is only back up for Villa.
“Villa is the best striker in the world,” Zigic enthused to AS.
“I know that I am the second striker and I will work, and then when I get minutes I will give my best.”
Valencia face Zigic’s former club Racing Santander this weekend.
He said: “I am a Valencia player, and if I play in Santander I will make the most of every chance in order to score. We need goals as next year we want to be in the Champions League.”
He added: “When you are playing with [Juan] Mata, [David] Silva, Pablo and Joaquin, as a forward you will always have chances to score.
“I am ready, whether I play in the starting lineup depends on the boss [Unai Emery].”
