Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been named in Roy Hodgson's England squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland.
Rooney missed United’s 1-1 draw away to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Wednesday with a shin injury.
Hodgson is confident that Rooney will be fit to feature for England.
“We are reliably informed that it’s not a serious injury and it won’t stop him joining up with us,” he said.
