City were reported to be wanting to sign Ronaldo from rivals United last year.
Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in a world-record £80million switch from Manchester United this summer.
When asked if he would have joined City, the Portugal international said: “Never!”
He added: “City have a lot of good players and might be a problem for United, Arsenal and Chelsea. But that doesn’t interest me.
“I am only interested in playing for Real Madrid and teams like Barcelona and Valencia.”
