Reports have suggested that the Manchester United legend could buy a stake in the Cosmos, but Byrne, a close friend of Beckham, insists the former England star will not invest in the club.
“No,” Byrne told the New York Post. “(People assume it) because we’ve been best friends for the past 15 years. But David’s playing for another team, the Galaxy and not part of this plan.”
