FC Porto coach: We were superior

He said: “I think that the third goal really emphasised the difference in quality between the two teams. We were also roundly superior in the first half and we shouldn’t forget that the adversary has excellent players.”

He added: “The team gave a clear sign of having a strong personality of its own and we played an offensive game that first paid off at the verge of half time. In the second part we knew that a second goal would really tie things up and that’s what happened.”

“Some times you need to save your celebrations for the end as after that second goal there was a bit too much euphoria and that damaged the way we play. The last few minutes were better, but we must be careful not to get carried away again before the final whistle.”
