Ferdinand insists pressure is on United

The England international insists there is still a lot of hard work left before they can win the title.

“This league has gone from one extreme to the other,” the defender told Setanta Sports News.

“Liverpool were way ahead early on, then we went ahead and they pulled us back. Now we’re a little way ahead but it can change very quickly.

“We’re under no illusions – we’ve got to work hard.

“I think win, lose or draw with other teams, the pressure is always the same. I think the pressure is always there as Manchester United players, the pressure to win football matches – home or away.

“Whether it’ll be against a team in the top half or the bottom, the pressure we put on ourselves as a player and there’s pressure we’ve got from fans and from the manager, so it’s always on us [regardless of] any result the other teams get.”
