United are ready to hand Fergie the world record £80million they will get from Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo, to spend on new players.
The Red Devils have been linked with several players, including Antonio Valencia, Karim Benzema and Franck Ribery.
“The decision reflects Cristiano’s desire to move on and the manager has accepted that,” confirmed a Glazer spokesman.
“The Glazer family as owners, have always supported the manager since their takeover and that is against the situation.”
